Have I got a sweet little gift for you! šŸ’

The other day, I came across a fabulous tutorial on YouTube on how to create an affirmation shuffle deck, and the idea of it blew my mind. Itā€™s the coolest thing ever - well, as far as Iā€™ve seen anyway when it comes to affirmation cards.Ā Ā

I couldnā€™t wait to try it with my Soul Notes cards - little ā€œHi Sweet Soulā€ notes, which I write daily at the start of my Julia Cameron-inspired morning pages. I started this little practice for myself over a year ago, and Iā€™m still at it - because it's simply soul-nourishing.

As I sit down to journal, I do an inner check-in - what do I need to hear - sometimes it's a kind word, (if we wait on someone else to say it - we might be waiting a lonnng while) other times a question spilled out that I then journal to get clarity on. Either way, it gives me a feeling of greater ease and inner peace - and a comforting sense of love from Above.

At some point, I got the idea to share them online, and the sweet, loving feedback I received inspired me to have them made into actual cards. But while thatā€™s in the works, I thought - wow, let me play with customizing this digital shuffle thingĀ and share it as a gift to all who take the time to read my posts - I feel you - and I thank you!Ā

šŸ’« Play with the Soul Notes Shuffle DeckĀ

How it works:

  • Click on the image above
  • Press the Play arrow
  • Press Pause when you feel called to - your message awaits!
  • If a 'blank' card appears, inhale deeply and Press Play again
  • Reflect on what comes up for you. Repeat :)

Another Moment of Gratitude

If you get my newsletter, you know that I put out an ask for early readers of my book-to-be of soul-infused poetry, which I like to refer to as Letters in Friendship (final title TBD).

I know life is busy, but some sweet peeps from our newsletter family took the time to read from the manuscript and share their thoughts. Iā€™m not exaggerating when I say each response moved me to tearsā€”literally. What can I say but thank you, from the bottom of my heart?

Between you and me, some of the feedback had me feelingā€¦ a little shy. (You can read some here.) The kindness and generosity in their words were almost too much to hold - but Iā€™m sharing them with hugs and gratitude, hoping they help spread the love. More than anything, I hope these poem-letters find the hearts that need them, offering comfort, connection, and maybe even a little light. And Iā€™ll keep on writing as long as you keep on reading.

As a quick note, if you didnā€™t have time for it this round, no worries - Iā€™ll be sharing it as soon as the eBook is published! Complimentary copies will be available for five days to download onto your Kindle (and keep forever), so if you're curious, stay tuned.

Here's a peek at the book cover so far:

I might still play around with the cover design a bit, Whatcha think?

The background has the look of handmade paperā€”which brings back memories of making paper with my little ones in Chinatown, New York, way back when. Just writing this led me on a YouTube hunt for a homemade paper tutorial to share with you. Most were complicated, but this one actually seems doable! I can't wait to give it a try with the grandkiddos - let me know if you try it too.Ā

A Fresh Soulstration & A Peek at Whatā€™s Next

I canā€™t hop off without sharing some artā€”so hereā€™s a fresh Soulstration!

Thereā€™s something about creating these that always puts me in a flow zoneā€”an hour passes like a minute. Iā€™m playing with the idea of running a class to share my process. More on that coming soon (letting the ideas percolateā€¦ šŸ˜Š).Ā

Until then, and always, stay uplifted!

Sending Balloons Filled with Blessings,Ā
