Soul Notes & Violins of Hope 🎻 🎶

Hi Sweet Soul, here’s a sneak-peek at what’s been creatively coming together!

Soul Notes

I just got the second sample in. Not super fancy, but sweet, don’t you think? Now I'm waiting on a sample of a velvety-suede feel pouch to slip them into. I'll let you know when it all comes together, and how you can enjoy a deck of your own!

Art from the heart:

This week, I submitted Vines of Valor to ACOR’s call for art in celebration of women artists at the library. The Arts Council of Rockland is my local art community, and it feels great to be connected. The piece is inspired by the Hebrew prayer-song Aishet Chayil, which translates to Woman of Valor.

I’ve shared the actual painting with you before, but since they asked for smaller works, I submitted my digital design instead.

Here’s a mock-up of the digital artwork I submitted. It will be printed on archival paper and placed in a gold frame. The actual print and frame should arrive any day now, and I’m so excited! It’s always amazes me to hold an actual print in my hand that I created in digital dreamland first.

Book bites:

Maybe you’ve already seen this, as it’s been making the rounds online. After reading it, I can see why. The title says it all: Don't Believe Everything You Think: Why Your Thinking Is The Beginning & End Of Suffering.

The concept is simple, yet powerful. I found myself catching negative thoughts in their track more often (yup, I have those too). The author, Joseph Nguyen, has his own method for handling these, and when I remember to use it, I must say, it works.

So yes, I found it helpful. But honestly, it was his lesser-known book, Boundaries = Freedom, that truly spoke to me. It came into my life exactly when I needed it. At first, my thoughts were that there wasn’t much new here, but the more I read, I kept feeling this nagging tug. Deep down, I knew there was something I needed to set a boundary around, and I kept pushing off that awkward conversation.

Bottom line, the book led me to reflect and hold space for that talk I needed to have with myself first—and then, ultimately, it brought a greater sense of peace and more harmony to my heart and home. Bottom line, it’s about honoring yourself, your Divine essence, and others involved. Had to share in case either of these books might speaks to you, too.

Soul Date

In case you don’t get my online posts, here’s my most recent “soul-date.” I won’t yammer on about it too much because I already shared the gist in my post, but wow—I was blown away on so many levels. Most of all, I was in awe of the hand of our Creator in our lives—The Greatest Orchestrator.

I first discovered The Violins of Hope a few months back, while researching and sketching for a painting inspired by Naomi Shemer’s song Jerusalem of Gold. I was so moved by their story that I immediately looked up their tour schedule—only to realize I had just missed them.

Fast forward, with some twists, turns, and beautiful connections along the way, and I finally got to sit and see those violins played live. It was simply unforgettable.

The tour dates and locations are on their site for future reference—definitely worth checking out. I wish I’d shared about the one in Jersey sooner in case you could’ve made it, but time just got away from me. I hope you’ll have a chance to go in the future!

On a more personal, yet universal note, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t mention the incredibly deep emotions I’m feeling about Romi, Emily and Doron, the three Israeli women released after being held hostage for 471 days.

I’m holding onto hope - hope for even better and brighter days, for even more good news, all the while celebrating life at this very moment - in all its raw beauty. I feel so very blessed to be here - writing you - in sweetest friendship, always.

Until next time…. Stay Uplifted!

Sending balloons and butterflies filled with blessings,

P.S. I couldn't resist changing up my photo for this post - the symphony and self-care cards begged for it :)
